Position Overview
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the Chamber, responsible for advancing the organization’s mission to support, promote, and advocate for the Granville business community. This leader will drive membership growth, elevate the Chamber’s brand presence, and guide the development and execution of a forward-looking strategic plan.
This full-time position requires a dynamic, visible community leader who blends relationship-building with modern marketing, digital engagement, and revenue development.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
- Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and implement a 3–5 year strategic plan
- Establish measurable goals tied to membership growth, engagement, and financial sustainability
- Serve as the primary advisor to the Board and execute board-approved initiatives
Membership and Revenue Growth
- Drive membership recruitment, retention, and engagement
- Develop tiered sponsorship and partnership opportunities
- Oversee revenue-generating programs including events, programs, and initiatives
Marketing and Communications
- Lead a modern, consistent marketing and communications strategy
- Oversee social media, email marketing, and website content
- Position the Chamber as a central voice for the business community
Community and Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the public face of the Chamber
- Build relationships with local businesses, civic leaders, and community organizations
- Represent the Chamber at events, meetings, and public forums
Operations and Governance
- Manage day-to-day operations, budgeting, and financial oversight
- Support and engage the Board of Directors and committees
- Ensure organizational sustainability and operational excellence
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience (nonprofit, business, hospitality, or economic development)
- Demonstrated success in marketing, communications, or brand development
- Experience with strategic planning and execution
- Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Experience working with a board of directors
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth or membership-based business models
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with small business ecosystems and chambers of commerce
- Experience in a community-facing leadership role
- Digital marketing and social media strategy experience
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $45,000–$55,000, commensurate with experience.

- Sponsorship revenue
- Event profitability
- Paid holidays and PTO
- One week of paid vacation after the first 90 days; two weeks after the first year.
